Car theft!

A Police message about car theft

Recently our local Community Constable asked CNS to send a message to Cambridge residents about a spike in car tampering and theft.  It's a good idea for all of us to be aware that these incidents are occurring.  I share the message with you here:

"Cambridge East is currently experiencing a spike in car

interference and theft.  If you are a victim of car crime, whether

damage or theft, please report it immediately.  This helps us to

gather as much evidence as possible and track the pattern of

offending to locate those responsible.  If you have any information

or CCTV footage that may assist, let us know also."

You can report crime using 111 if it is happening now, (or the offender is likely to still be nearby) and by using 105 (online or by phone) if the offence has taken place earlier.

Some tips for keeping your vehicle safe can be accessed here.
